Well, it could be worse. Here in Seattle we use "Metro Natural" http://www.visitseattle.org/ If that doesn't make you reconsider moving to another city I am not sure what does. I also know a lot more was paid for Metro Natural than 50k... I guess it begs the question: why are we trying to "brand" locations instead of putting in place really precise marketing activities that encourage travel to other states/cities?

I have to agree with the previous comments. I have never been to Wisconsin, but it doesn't really make me want to and David is dead right - 3 colours? Why not put each letter in a different colour?

I'm no design guru, but bland strap lines are an absolute no no. You may as well say "Wisconsin - it's Bland" Don't people think about what the logo actually says any more. Good luck to the guy who got $50K, it must have taken him an hour to design and 2 weeks to stop laughing!

Wow! what a rip off. I could not sleep at night doing that kind of robbery, even in this economy.

If that slogan is helping the state make more money then, great, but if not, They should really reconsider what that dead and the company. It is part of a $10 million dollar budget so perhaps they do not even miss it.

If I was going to "live like I mean it," it wouldn't be in Wisconsin.

And what's with the upside down guy? I guess he means to...stand on his head...or something. Or is Wisconsin secretly the headquarters for a secret acrobatic assassin society?

Yeah. I wouldn't have paid $50k for that.
