The Power Of Branding

I always laugh at people who think branding doesn’t make a person feel a specific way for a company or product. Take this very funny viral video made to discredit Apple’s iPhone and brand.

WARNING, this contains adult, vulgar language:

Let’s just say all these things are true and Evo’s phone makes the iPhone look outdated and behind technology, how does one explain the sales,  loyalty, dedication and overall brand committment to Apple?

One answer. Branding.

Brand equity. Apple has built a following that’s almost reached cult status. They’re one of the strongest brands today and have a very loyal following.

    That video was pretty good

This is one of the funniest and simplest online videos that I’ve seen in a long time!

Apple set the bar. All phones now copy them. They, like the video says may be ahead of the curve BUT they are not Apple. You can’t discount the cool factor. Apple is an original.

You never hear anyone saying that the iPhone looks like some other phone. iPhone took an entirely unique direction. Everyone else is doing their best to copy what works with iPhone and add more.

Why not be original for once? PC’s are the same case. They ALL look alike, the Mac is the truly unique machine.

    Nice find!

The people who don’t think branding is important are surely the same people who feel they are not susceptible to marketing but are the ones who subconsciously follow every new trend!

    Cheers,
